BAIL CONDITIONS FOR SOWERE ,CLICK HERE TO READ

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday granted activist Omoyele Sowore fresh bail of ₦200 million, weeks after revoking his earlier bail for missing trial. Justice Muhammad Umar ordered two sureties — one a traditional ruler from his community, the other with landed property in the FCT — and the deposit of his international passport. Sowore was handed over to his lawyers after the ruling and is to open his defence on Monday, July 6. He is being prosecuted by the DSS over cybercrime allegations tied to social media posts where he allegedly called President Bola Tinubu “a criminal.” He has pleaded not guilty. “They have always been after the passport. So nobody can come after our movement… it is not about my freedom; it is about the liberation of the Nigerian people,” Sowore said after the ruling. His bail was revoked June 16 following his absence from court, leading to his remand in Kuje Correctional Centre until Tuesday’s fresh bail application.
